The chart on the right shows the geological context of the time-scale mentioned in the article for the existence of Atlantis. Extending back to at least 26 million years ago, it apparently disappeared and re-appeared a number of times before its final demise at the end of the Pleistocene Epoch circa 12,000 years ago.
