This entire section is presented in a "tongue in cheek" spirit, since there are somewhat questionable theories that the Atlantean civilization had ostensibly acquired the knowledge of aeronautics, and that others on the continent had achieved similar intelligence. In the Sanskrit epics of ancient India, aerial vehicles were known as vimanas, and the knowledge of aeronautics was termed Viman Vidya. Be it known up front that there are NO written records of Atlantean provenence, whether of airships or other subject matter.
